Volunteer with Healthcare Improvement Scotland
Involving people in our work is an integral part of what we do.
We listen to and learn from the experiences of patients, carers and members of the public to help inform what we do and how we do it.
Healthcare Improvement Scotland has a number of volunteering opportunities, one of which might be of interest to you. Involving people in our work is an integral part of what we do. We listen to and learn from the experiences of people with lived experience, carers and members of the public to help inform what we do and how we do it.
You can get involved by:
- becoming a Public Partner volunteer and providing an ongoing public perspective to our work developing guidelines and standards, contributing to health technology assessments, supporting improvement programmes, sharing good practice, carrying out inspections or being a member of our reader panel to help make our publications more accessible. Public Partners are recruited throughout the year depending on the opportunities available. For more information please email his.contactpublicinvolvement@nhs.scot
- contacting your local engagement office to discuss opportunities to get involved with engagement work in your local area.
Healthcare Improvement Scotland has held the Investing in Volunteers quality standard since 2010. This award recognises our commitment to our volunteers and acknowledges that we have the right processes in place to support those that volunteer with us. Reaccreditation in 2020 was delayed due to COVID-19 but will be reassessed.
