Engagement Practice Network
The Engagement Practice Network connects, supports and empowers those leading, supporting and researching engagement across Scotland’s health and care system.
Through shared learning, collaboration and peer support, we strive to embed engagement in core practice and strengthen meaningful involvement of people and communities in shaping care and services.
We hold quarterly development sessions to share experiences, learning and ideas.
The network is hosted on MS Teams, which allows members to provide peer support, share tools and collaborate in a ‘safe space’.
We seek to provide opportunities for the network to inform and influence the approach to engagement in national consultations and projects.
As part of the network, three Communities of Practice offer dedicated, private peer learning spaces supported by subject matter experts:
- Improving Engagement: A space where anyone leading or supporting engagement can strengthen their engagement and improvement skills.
- Service Change (Engagement): A space where NHS Board and Integration Joint Board staff leading service change can understand their statutory duties
and consider how to apply national guidance. - Evidence for Engagement: A space where practitioners, researchers and policy makers can advance innovation and impact in engagement and participation through research and evidence
